Ukraine’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Yuriy Husyev, announced this at the opening of the “Black Sea-Caspian Cargo Forum 2024», reports the railway transport news portal Railway Supply, citing Azernews.

It is expected that the resumption of the ferry route between Ukraine and Georgia will strengthen the country’s position in the international transport network linking China and the European Union through Central Asia, the Caucasus, and Turkey.
The Middle Corridor represents a crucial multimodal transport artery connecting the ferry terminals of the Caspian and Black Seas with the railway systems of China, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkey, Ukraine, and Poland.
It facilitates the growth of freight flow from China to Europe, ensuring the fast and efficient movement of goods in both directions.
Trains operating along the Middle Corridor deliver cargo from China to Europe in an average of 20-25 days, making it attractive for international freight transport.
Ukraine sees this route as an opportunity to enhance its logistics capabilities and develop economic ties.
The restoration of ferry services will be a significant step towards integration into global trade routes.
The Middle Corridor not only speeds up cargo delivery but also offers an alternative route, which is especially important amid modern geopolitical challenges.
The forum in Baku aims to accelerate the development of logistical relations between countries and stimulate trade flows.
