Londoners are set to face tube strikes across one week – 5 to 11 September 2025 – resulting in disruption across Underground and DLR services. MOTORISTS and event goers are advised to plan their travel before they set out to avoid serious travel disruption.

The action will get underway at 6 p.m. on 5 September and will end Underground trains that evening. The city’s Underground network will be shut completely from Septembers 6-11, and the DLR will also be down from September 7.

Travel Alternatives During Tube Strikes

There are still a few ways for travelers to make their way around London despite the strike. The Elizabeth line and the London Overground will also run, with the occasional station closure or engineering works altering the planned services.

London buses will also be in operation, though they are likely to be very busy during peak hours in particular. For this reason, walking or biking is highly recommended – particularly for trips of a short or moderate distance.

Bakerloo, Central, Circle, District, Hammersmith & City, Jubilee, Metropolitan, Northern, Piccadilly, Victoria and Waterloo & City lines will all be impacted by the strikes.
