Updates and Passenger Guidelines from Translink

Passengers should check Translink’s Journey Planner, website, or social media for updates. Bookings affected by cancellations will be refunded automatically without the need for additional requests.

Translink has confirmed that no bus or train services will operate during the red alert. The yellow warning starts at midnight and lasts until 11:59 p.m., while amber and red warnings overlap between 6 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Service Operations Director Ian Campbell stated that Translink worked with agencies to ensure safety. “This decision prioritizes the well-being of passengers and staff,” he added. Services will resume only after thorough route assessments.

The storm is expected to cause hazards, including fallen trees and debris, which could delay network restoration. Speed restrictions and route diversions may also apply until conditions stabilize.

Passengers are encouraged to stay informed through Translink’s official channels before traveling. The organization extends its gratitude for the cooperation shown during this challenging weather event.
