The European Investment Bank has allocated €10.6 million for tram procurement in Odesa. This funding will enable the purchase of eight new, modern trams to enhance urban infrastructure. This was reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

Tram Procurement in Odesa: Financing Details

In 2023-2024, Odesa received 13 trams of the K1T306 model from Tatra-Yug. The new batch of vehicles will further modernize public transport and improve the quality of urban commuting.

The European Investment Bank actively supports Ukraine’s infrastructure modernization. After Odesa, the bank plans to finance tram purchases for Dnipro and Kamianske.

New Deliveries from Tatra-Yug

In 2021, Tatra-Yug delivered its first low-floor tram, the K1T306, to Kyiv. This contract included the production and delivery of 20 three-section trams, which underwent trials in Dnipro.

Beyond Ukraine, Tatra-Yug’s trams are also utilized in Egypt, where they demonstrate high reliability. The company continuously improves its technologies, offering world-class transportation solutions.
