The volume of container cargo transportation through the port of Aktau increased by 30%

In January 2024, the Kazakhstani port of Aktau handled more than 360 thousand tons of cargo, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.
This is 40.6 thousand tons or 12.7% more than in January 2023.
In the first month of this year, 3 thousand tons of grain and 310 thousand tons of oil and oil products were shipped abroad through the Aktau port.
Also, in January, the port handled over 2.3 thousand containers in twenty-foot equivalent units (TEU).
This is 0.53 thousand TEU or 30% more than in January of the previous year.
Including over 2 thousand TEU along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route.
This indicator doubled compared to the previous year.
