The United States allocates $225 million for the construction of the Lviv-Mostyska railway in Europe, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.
USAID will provide technical support to Ukrzaliznytsia for the construction of a double-track section, accelerating the transportation of Ukrainian goods to the EU and facilitating the return of Ukrainians from evacuation.
The reconstruction of the narrow-gauge railway line has begun in Portugal
The railway junction in Lviv, combined with European rail corridors, will enable the direct loading of agricultural products onto wagons designed for the standard European route, facilitating faster delivery to ports and markets in European countries.
The project, estimated at 1.8 billion UAH, aims to modernize the section from the Mostyska station on the Polish border to Lviv (Sknyliv).
