Through the collaboration between Bozankaya and the Timișoara municipality, initiated in 2019, 17 new trams will join the existing fleet of 23 trams already in operation, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

The tram manufacturer has signed a contract

The livery of the first trams delivered to Romania was purple, while the upcoming 17 trams will feature a yellow design.

In 2021, Bozankaya trams, equipped with a battery system allowing continuous travel of at least 70 km, earned recognition from the European Railway Cluster (ERCI). This unique feature contributed to Bozankaya being named the ‘Most Innovative Company in Europe.’
