Thanks to the “Tickets to Victory!” initiative, over 6 million hryvnias were raised to purchase a demining vehicle, as reported by the railway portal Railway Supply.
PJSC “Ukrzaliznytsia,” the UNITED24 platform, Gres Todorchuk, and the project partner concert.ua have presented the results of the first part of the “Train to Victory” project.
Ukrzaliznytsia is considering proposals for the purchase of locomotives from three countries
Through the sale of tickets for the first trips to the liberated city of Kherson and upcoming trips to Sevastopol, Simferopol, Donetsk, Luhansk, and Mariupol, a total of 6,148,900 hryvnias were collected.
These funds will be used to acquire a demining vehicle.
The “Tickets to Victory!” project was launched in November 2022 and coincided with the liberation of Kherson, which became the first destination where charitable tickets were used.
Anyone could purchase a ticket for the first trip to five Ukrainian cities that would be liberated from temporary occupation.
“Tickets to Victory!” were available for sale on the concert.ua operator’s website, which also joined the project and covered the entire amount of the service fee, ensuring that 100% of the funds collected would be used to purchase a demining vehicle.
Tickets for the “Train to Victory” have no expiration date and can be activated after the liberation of Mariupol, Donetsk, Luhansk, and Simferopol.
The direction to Crimea was so popular that Ukrzaliznytsia added another charitable trip to Sevastopol. Most tickets were sold for this direction – 1747 in total.
As previously reported, train passengers donated over 1 million hryvnias to purchase FPV drones for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
