The TAS Group has become the owner of 61% of the Austrian company TransAnt

Through the Cypriot T.A.S. Overseas Investments Limited, Sergey Tigipko’s TAS Group became the majority owner of the Austrian company TransAnt GmbH, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.
According to the official trading register of Austria, TAS Overseas Investments increased its stake in TransAnt from 40% to 61%.

At the same time, the stake in the Austrian steel company Voestalpine and the freight division of the Austrian Federal Railways Rail Cargo decreased from 48.1% to 31% and from 11.9% to 7.6%, respectively.
TransAnt specializes in the development of innovative wagons. In early 2023, the TAS Group became a shareholder in the company, acquiring more than 40% of the shares.
In the summer of 2023, TransAnt announced the production of the first platform for intermodal transport at the request of the Polish company Eurowagon.
In the fall, Dniprovagonmash, as part of the TransAnt innovative project in collaboration with Austrian partners, shipped the first MultiBOX wagons for operation on the railways of the European Union.
In April of this year, TAS Dniprovagonmash shipped a batch of Eamnos wagons as part of the DB2 project, where TransANT is the developer.
The TransAnt website states: “TransAnt wagons are manufactured by our experienced partner, Dniprovagonmash. At the same time, we manage the entire supply chain and, as TransAnt GmbH, are the wagon manufacturer. Dniprovagonmash is responsible for manufacturing steel structures, assembly, and painting of the wagons.”
