PESA Bydgoszcz has already manufactured the first train, which will be delivered to the Ghanaian customer, as reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply, citing Raport Kolejowy.

In 2022, PESA Bydgoszcz entered into a contract with a Ghanaian railway operator for the supply of two diesel multiple units with an option to acquire 10 more trains.

According to Vice President Maciej Macewski, the first vehicle to be delivered to Africa in September 2022 should be the Link, followed by trains from the Regio160 family.

«We will be delivering Link and REGIO160 trains to this country, ensuring production continuity for local railways as part of the contract,» said Maciej Macewski, PESA Vice President, in September 2022.

The Regio160 train is already ready, and its tests will soon be completed, allowing it to be transported to the port for shipment to the client in Africa.
