The number of employees at “Ukrzaliznytsia” decreased to 187,000, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.
In 2023, JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” remained the largest employer in Ukraine, with its workforce totaling 187,620 people by the end of the year.

These figures are provided by the Ukrainian company registration data monitoring service “Opendatabot,” based on the financial reports from the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.
Over the year, the company’s staff has decreased, as the corresponding figure in 2022 was 210,742 employees.
It is worth noting that in the summer of 2023, the Chairman of the Board of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” stated that at that time the railway company employed 191,700 people.
It is also worth reminding that even before the Russian invasion, it was expected that the staff of JSC “UZ” would be reduced by 14,000 in 2022 compared to 2021, to 223,800 employees.
For comparison, according to data from 2016, “Ukrzaliznytsia” had 285,200 employees.
