The Ukrzaliznytsia management has approved the procedure and process for providing wagons to companies for freight transportation on a long-term basis, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

the procedure for providing wagons under long-term contracts

This was announced on Facebook by the Deputy Director of the Commercial Department of the company, Valeriy Tkachev.

Alstom will continue to support railway traffic management systems in Poland

It is envisaged that wagons will be provided on a long-term basis (until December 31, 2024) under a separate contract in accordance with the decision of the tariff commission of Ukrzaliznytsia.

“We urge shippers to take advantage of the opportunity to obtain Ukrzaliznytsia wagons for their own freight transportation at a fixed price. This will allow you to effectively plan your economic activities and mitigate seasonal fluctuations in the cost of wagon usage,” wrote Valeriy Tkachev.

To obtain this service, it is necessary to send a written request to the Chairman of the Tariff Commission of Ukrzaliznytsia (email: uz@uz.gov.ua).

The application must specify:

– Type of rolling stock/cargo;

– Period for which wagons from Ukrzaliznytsia are required for transportation;

– Total planned volumes of transportation in ton-kilometers or tons;

– Monthly transportation schedule;

– If possible, provide a proposal for the cost of wagon usage by the carrier (UAH per 1 ton-kilometer) and any other additional information (transportation directions, cargo specifics, etc.).

“The received requests from shippers will be promptly processed,” emphasized the Ukrzaliznytsia representative.

As reported earlier, Ukrzaliznytsia has developed a mechanism for concluding long-term contracts with businesses.
