The incidents of freight wagon derailments at Russian Railways (RZhD) continue and are no longer considered random events
11.06.2023
The reasons behind these derailments are unknown, whether they are actions carried out by rail partisans or if the RZhD infrastructure itself no longer meets the standards, as reported by the Railway Supply magazine.
The situation of wagon derailments in Russia can be characterized as a ‘persistent phenomenon,’ as reported by the Telegram channel ‘Stop the Wagons.’ They state, ‘We promised that the diversions would not cease until the end of the war!’ Rail resistance is bloodless and safe. We destroy railway property, burn relay cabinets, and derail freight trains. We make the war unprofitable.’
Here is the recent dynamics of the railway war in Russia over the past 14 days:
– Moscow: Relay cabinets are on fire.
– Saint Petersburg: Dachnoye station, on the Borova-Ligovo section, had a burned relay cabinet. Zanevsky Post-1 station experienced two incidents.
– Ulyanovsk: Fuel tanks did not reach their destination and are on fire. ‘Someone helped them not to arrive.’
– Zabaykalsk Railway, Amur Oblast: Five railway wagons derailed.
– Kuibyshev Railway: Railway tanks caught fire.
– Belgorod: Fifteen freight wagons derailed.
