The first Aventra electric train from Alstom in the United Kingdom

The train, consisting of two three-car units (classified as Class 730/0 in British terminology), has started operating on the West Coast line covering a distance of 100 km, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.
The carrier, West Midlands Railway, plans to gradually increase the number of these new trains on the route. Next year, five-car units of Class 730/2 are expected to be introduced.
Two ES1000 battery locomotives have been sent to Romania
In 2017, a fleet of 48 three-car trains (Class 730/0) and 36 five-car trains (Class 730/2) was ordered from Bombardier Transportation (acquired by Alstom in 2021).
The assembly takes place at the factory in Derby, UK.
Class 730/0 trains provide 199 seating places and can reach a maximum speed of 145 km/h. For Class 730/2, these figures are 406 seats and 177 km/h.
All rolling stock is equipped with intercar gangways and an intelligent air conditioning system with floor heating.
