The Central Asia Trade Cooperation Center is planned to begin construction in 2024

This was announced at a meeting of the working group chaired by the Deputy Ministers of Trade of Kazakhstan, Kairat Torebayev, and Uzbekistan, Khurram Teshabayev, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.
More precise project launch dates have not been disclosed by the authorities of the two countries.

It is expected that the technical launch of the large industrial-logistical center, which they intend to create near the border crossing points “Atameken” (Kazakhstan) and “Gulistan” (Uzbekistan), will take place in the fourth quarter of 2026.
The official opening of “Central Asia” is planned for the first half of 2027.
In the initial stage of the project, the authorities of the two republics hope to attract no less than $70 million in investments.
