The Canadian National carrier has ordered 600 hoppers from FreightCar America, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.
The rolling stock will be used in iron ore transportation at the company’s DMIR American subsidiary in Minnesota.
The hoppers with a body volume of 32.5 cubic meters and a payload capacity of about 110 tons will be manufactured in Mexico.
