Taipei Sanying MRT Line Expansion and Future Connections
The first phase of the line spans 14.3 kilometers, starting at Dingpu Station, where it connects to Taipei’s Blue Bannan MRT Line. The route extends through Sanxia and Yingge Districts, ultimately linking to TRA’s Western Trunk Line at Yingge Station.
Future expansion plans aim to extend the route into Taoyuan’s Bade District, integrating with the Taoyuan MRT system. The final station will be Danan Station, marking the intersection with the Green Line.
Additionally, the Xidong MRT Line continues ahead of schedule, progressing three months faster than projected. This project will connect Keelung’s proposed MRT system to Taipei’s Brown Wenhu MRT Line.

The six-station Xidong MRT Line will significantly enhance public transit efficiency within New Taipei’s Xizhi District, optimizing commuter accessibility across northern Taiwan.
City officials remain committed to timely completion, ensuring that all public transportation developments meet safety standards and infrastructure deadlines. Regular updates will follow as the Taipei transit expansion projects progress.
