Previously, SJ used IVU.rail to manage train schedules and staff shifts, but now all functions run in the cloud with centralized updates.

Swedish Railways chose IVU.cloud because it reduces the risk of failures and enables faster response to changes in schedules and resources.

Moreover, the German company IVU Traffic Technologies provides technical support, improving system responsiveness and overall reliability.

SJ operates about 700 trains and employs 6,800 people, serving both domestic and international routes as the national rail operator.

Cloud-Based Upgrade Improved the Operations of Swedish Railways

Using IVU.cloud simplified IT infrastructure scaling and reduced the need for local server maintenance, making operations more efficient.

Now, the rail operator adapts more quickly to transport changes and delivers a higher level of passenger service.

Swedish Railways Follow International Best Practices

The IVU.rail system is also used by leading global operators such as DB Regio and DB Fernverkehr (Germany), Trenitalia (Italy), VIA Rail (Canada), and SBB Cargo (Switzerland).

Since many of them also rely on IVU.cloud, Sweden benefits from internationally tested solutions and global experience.
