Etihad Rail Supports National Connectivity Goals

The delegation highlighted how Etihad Rail boosts inter-emirate logistics and trade while cutting travel times. These benefits will strengthen regional integration and the UAE’s global competitiveness.

Environmental advantages were also reviewed. The network is expected to significantly reduce emissions and promote sustainable alternatives to freight and passenger road transport.

Sheikh Hamdan Commends Etihad Rail Achievements

Sheikh Hamdan praised Etihad Rail’s dedication and high standards, acknowledging their role in realizing a modern, safe, and efficient transportation system aligned with UAE Vision 2031.

He added that the railway fosters balanced regional development by connecting urban centers and remote areas, which supports long-term national cohesion and economic diversification.

Several senior officials attended the meeting, including Nasser Mohammed Al Mansouri, undersecretary of the Ruler’s Representative Court in Al Dhafra Region, reinforcing the project’s importance.

Sheikh Hamdan’s commitment to such projects reflects the UAE’s strategic infrastructure goals and its transition toward more sustainable, integrated transport solutions.
