Stadler Polska beat Alstom and Hitachi Rail to win a €112.3 million contract to supply 18 four-car trains to national passenger operator Srbija Voz.

This is reported by the railway magazine Railway Supply with reference to Stadler Polska.

The order is financed by the state budget and a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in the amount of 100 million euros.

The Srbija Voz fleet includes 21 160 km/h Stadler Flirt EMUs, which were ordered in 2013 with EBRD funding. In April 2021, it ordered three Kiss double-deck 200 km/h electric trains for 62.2 million euros, the first of which was delivered in November 2021.
