In February 2025, the company recorded a 20 percent increase in regional train punctuality. They compared this with February 2024, and the results impress.

Disruptions due to infrastructure failures dropped by 27 percent during the same period. Some days showed reductions of up to 50 percent, which encourages.

DB aim to cut transport process violations by 80 percent by the end of 2025. Thus, the company enhances reliability on this busy route.

Long-distance trains reduced delays by a third thanks to the upgraded infrastructure. Meanwhile, traffic intensity rose by 5 percent compared to 2024.

Reconstruction of the Riedbahn Line: What Changed

Specialists fully replaced the line’s technical equipment, including tracks and switches. The company upgraded the overhead lines, control systems, and station facilities.

Daily, 800 workers and 140 machines ensured the modernization progressed without delays. DB deployed maximum resources to meet the project deadline.

During the works, the company arranged transport with 150 buses for Riedbahn passengers. Long-distance and freight trains rerouted via Mainz and Darmstadt.

Alternative routes maintained traffic flow, but temporary solutions handled most pressure. This minimized inconvenience for passengers and businesses alike.
