Procurements of rolling stock worldwide: news overview, reports railway journal Railway Supply with reference to Rollingstock.
European freight carrier TX Logistik has placed an order with Slovakian company Tatravagonka for 115 articulated T3000 platforms.
The delivery of the first wagons is scheduled for the end of summer. According to TX Logistik, the T3000 platforms can be used for container and semi-trailer transportation at a maximum speed of 120 km/h.
German mining company K+S has signed a contract with Austrian company Innofreight for the delivery of an additional 60 articulated InnoWaggon platforms.
K+S currently operates 150 of these platforms, which transport 300 containers.
Slovenian state holding company SDH has approved the allocation of €148.3 million to national carrier SŽ for the purchase of 20 Stadler electric trains.
The rolling stock is expected to be delivered by the end of 2024. Previously, Stadler supplied the carrier with 21 single-deck and 10 double-deck electric trains, as well as 21 diesel trains.
Czech carrier ČD has announced the procurement of 8 low-floor electric trains for the Pardubice region.
The rolling stock is expected to be introduced in the region by the end of 2025. The new trains will be designed for operation on both 25 kV AC and 3 kV DC power lines and will have a minimum seating capacity of 140.
