Ukrainian Railways Changed the Rules for Providing Own Railcars Abroad. This was reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.
Ukrainian Railways (UZ) updated the rules for providing railcars from the “Center for Transport Logistics” branch for transportation abroad. This update was announced during an online meeting between UZ representatives and Polish carriers on October 10.
Valerii Tkachev, Deputy Director of the Department of Transport Technology and Commercial Operations at UZ, stated that now the payment for using the company’s railcars abroad can be made by:
Either the shipper, according to the tariffs applicable within Ukraine, or the shipper or consignee through UZ Cargo Poland, provided a contract with UZ Cargo Poland is signed.
Additionally, a foreign carrier can pay for using the railcars according to the rates agreed with UZ within the framework of a contract with the foreign carrier.
