According to Nurlan Sauranbayev, the chairman of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy, 537 ordered carriages from the Swiss manufacturer have been handed over to the Tulpar plant, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

The first Stadler trains are expected to be delivered to Kazakhstan Temir Zholy in 2025, with localization reaching 35% by 2030.

Currently, the main supplier of passenger carriages for Kazakhstan Temir Zholy is the ZIKSTO plant in Petropavl.

According to the Minister of Transport of Kazakhstan, Marat Karabayev, the plan is to receive 100 passenger carriages this year and an additional 62 by 2024.
