The Aktobe Rail and Section Works (ARSW) expressed readiness to increase supplies of rail products to Tajikistan.
In addition, the prospect of expanding export volumes of locomotives, diesel locomotives, switches, transformers, agricultural machinery, batteries, and Kazakh-made vehicles was discussed.
The strategy of increasing the export of railway equipment to Tajikistan is not new for Kazakhstan.
Previously, deliveries of locomotives produced by LKZ (owned by Wabtec) to this country have been made.
From 2012 to 2016, six mainline locomotives of the TE33A Evolution model were supplied.
This model has also been exported to other countries such as Ukraine, Moldova, Azerbaijan, Mongolia, Kyrgyzstan, and Turkmenistan.
Since the start of production of the TE33A Evolution in 2009, 39 locomotives of this type have been exported.
The development of cooperation in the railway transport sector between Kazakhstan and Tajikistan contributes to strengthening economic ties and ensuring mutual benefits for both countries.
