KRCBW is increasing the share of domestic production localization in the manufacturing of cars for Ukrzaliznytsia, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

Currently, 66 cars ordered by Ukrzaliznytsia from Kryukovsky Railway Car Building Works are being manufactured, including sleeper cars and specially adapted cars for people with disabilities.

“Thanks to the systematic work of the State Treasury Service, the Ukrainian plant has been able to proceed with the next stage of payments for components for the cars. Thus, nearly 160 Ukrainian suppliers have been paid over 260 million UAH. This, in turn, will ensure the smooth operation of the plant and allow it to continue building cars according to the schedule,” the statement notes.

An increase in the share of domestic production localization is also noted.

In particular, the cars built in Ukraine for the current Ukrzaliznytsia order will have over 80% of domestically produced components.

As previously reported, KRCBW repaired an interregional locomotive-hauled train for Ukrzaliznytsia.
