These cars are intended to update the rolling stock operating in the western directions of the country.

The model of the 61-4440 car will have a design speed of 160 km/h.

The average service life of these cars, made of corrosion-resistant steel with high wear resistance, is expected to be at least 40 years.

Compartment cars for 36 passengers will be equipped with air conditioning, video surveillance, and a fire extinguishing system.

In November of the previous year, ZIKSTO JSC, specializing in the production of freight cars, received a certificate of compliance with the TR TS for the production of batches of 300 compartment cars of model 61-4440 and 300 non-compartment cars of model 61-4447.

At the same time, according to the words of the head of the North Kazakhstan Region, Kumar Aksakalov, the enterprise signed a contract with Kazakhstan Railways for the supply of 300 compartment cars.
