Pakistani Railways Launches New Platforms Using Chinese Technology

Pakistani Railways has begun operating 40 new platforms manufactured using Chinese technology, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

These platforms have a load capacity of 70 tons and are designed for container transportation at speeds of up to 100 km/h.

They represent a significant step in the modernization of the country’s railway fleet.
The project was made possible by a technology transfer agreement between Pakistan and China.
According to this agreement, 820 such platforms are planned to be put into operation by July 2026.
This will significantly improve cargo transportation efficiency and enhance the overall productivity of the transport network.
Thus, Pakistan continues to modernize its infrastructure by implementing advanced solutions and technologies, contributing to the development and strengthening of the country’s transport sector.
