An even worse performance was recorded in July when the “grain corridor” ceased operations, resulting in 805,000 tons.

The cargo load in September increased to almost 1.3 million tons, approximately 100,000 tons more than in August.

The average daily loading rate increased by 11% compared to the previous month, reaching 53,000 tons.

Valeriy Tkachev, Deputy Director of the Commercial Department at Ukrzaliznytsia, noted that the improvement in performance is primarily due to increased wagon transfers at western border crossings and improved unloading at ports due to the start of temporary corridors.

Positive dynamics continue in October, with 173,000 tons loaded in four days.

The average daily loading rate is 53,700 tons.

The volumes of grain transportation for export are also increasing. In four days, 180,200 tons were exported by rail, with 97,600 tons heading towards western border crossings and 82,600 tons going to ports.

As reported earlier, rail freight transportation increased by 3% in September.
