All variants will have an initial traction force of 300 kN, a maximum speed of 120 km/h, and the capability to navigate curves with a minimum radius of 75 meters. They can also be operated in sets of up to four locomotives.
The power output of Traxx Shunter when using the electric grid or batteries will be 2 MW (peak at 2.5 MW), while using fuel cells, it will be 1 MW, and when powered by diesel, it will be 750 kW.
Traxx Shunter B can be equipped with batteries with a capacity of up to 500 kWh.
The range of Traxx Shunter H will be 24 hours.
