New Passenger Carriages Debut in Uzbekistan

Uzbekistan Railways proudly launched new passenger carriages to improve travel comfort. The Tashkent plant built models 61-950 and 61-951 for the national carrier. This is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

Authorities initiated the carriage design project in March 2024 to upgrade services. Now, these carriages extend 26 meters long, surpassing the older 24-meter models, and offer eco-friendly toilets, CCTV, and adjustable heaters.

In 2024, the Tashkent facility produced 35 modern carriages for local routes. This year, the company targets 70 units, reflecting strong demand and growth plans.
