Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted India’s readiness to introduce its first high-speed bullet train. He emphasized this development while inaugurating multiple railway projects across Telangana, Odisha, and Jammu and Kashmir.

Speaking about advancements, Modi praised the successful 180 km/h trial of the Vande Bharat sleeper train. He stated these innovations will revolutionize transportation and symbolize India’s modern infrastructure.
Narendra Modi Focuses on Expanding Railway Connectivity and Infrastructure
During the event, Narendra Modi unveiled plans for improved railway services, including new terminal stations. He emphasized that the developments will boost connectivity and benefit millions of passengers.
The Prime Minister inaugurated the New Jammu Railway Division and Charlapalli New Terminal Station in Telangana. He also laid the foundation stone for the Rayagada Railway Division Building in East Coast Railway.
The 742.1-kilometer New Jammu Railway Division will enhance connectivity across Pathankot, Jammu, Udhampur, Srinagar, and Baramulla. These expansions are expected to spur economic growth in Jammu and Kashmir.
Modi stressed the importance of Charlapalli New Terminal Station, developed at a cost of approximately ₹413 crore ($50 million). It offers eco-friendly infrastructure and advanced passenger amenities to ease congestion in Telangana.
Additionally, the Rayagada Railway Division Building is designed to strengthen links between Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, and nearby areas. Modi emphasized its role in regional economic development and better transportation access.
The Prime Minister reiterated India’s commitment to modernizing transportation infrastructure and fostering inclusive growth. He assured that these projects will create job opportunities and support industrial expansion nationwide.
Concluding his address, Narendra Modi expressed confidence in India’s ability to become a leader in transportation innovation. He emphasized the government’s focus on sustainability and progress through technological advancements.
