In the Zhetysu region of Kazakhstan, a plant for industrial batteries production is being built, as reported by the regional administration, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

The project cost is 3.2 billion tenge ($7.2 million).

They plan to complete the construction of the enterprise in the summer of 2024 and start production in September 2024.

It is expected that the plant will annually produce up to 210,000 batteries for solar and wind power stations, locomotives, and electric forklifts.
