Additional crews will inspect tracks, maintain switches, and ensure smooth rail operations. Bus services may face disruptions as articulated buses are temporarily removed, and chains are added to buses operating in the Bronx and Manhattan for enhanced stability.
New York City expects 4-6 inches of snow, while Long Island will likely experience 2-3 inches of snow mixed with rain. Northern areas could see up to 10 inches, potentially causing significant transportation challenges. Passengers are encouraged to check for service updates and prepare for possible delays or cancellations over the weekend.
