Moldova: Construction of a Multimodal Terminal

Plans are underway in Moldova to construct a multimodal terminal at the Beresti railway station in the municipality of Ungheni, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.
The technical and economic feasibility study is being conducted with the support of the USAID Moldova Institutional and Structural Reform Program (MISRA).

This center will provide comprehensive analysis of existing freight transportation infrastructure, cost assessment and investment options, as well as the need for adjustments to the legislative framework for its development.
Representatives of Moldovan Railways state that this development will enable Moldova to join international transport corridors and strengthen its position in the region as an important logistics hub.
