Ministry of Development Supports Ukraine’s Railway Industry Suppliers

The Ministry of Development has launched a program to support Ukraine’s railway industry suppliers, said Oleksii Kuleba. During his working visit, he toured the Kryukovsky Railway Car Building Works to observe production. This was reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.
Kuleba reviewed the production of modern railcars designed to upgrade the fleet of Ukrzaliznytsia. The plant has already delivered 15 railcars, with 5 more scheduled for delivery in the coming weeks.
Economic Growth Initiatives by the Ministry of Development
The Ministry of Development has made supporting domestic manufacturers a priority during these challenging times. Oleksii Kuleba emphasized that Ukrainian businesses continue performing exceptionally well, despite ongoing difficulties.

The Kryukovsky Railway Car Building Works achieves over 80% localization in its production processes. Furthermore, it creates jobs and cooperates with 165 suppliers from various regions of Ukraine, boosting the economy.
Strategic Programs by the Ministry of Development
During his visit, the Ministry decided to create a comprehensive program for developing the railway supply sector. Kuleba stated that this initiative is a strategic step to strengthen Ukraine’s economy and industrial base.
“We are drafting a detailed plan to stimulate production growth and support national enterprises,” said Kuleba. “This work is essential for restoring the country’s economic resilience and industrial capabilities.”
The Chairman of Ukrzaliznytsia, Oleksandr Pertsovskyi, highlighted that new-generation railcars are part of this order. These advanced models include features like autonomous air conditioning and extended service life for better passenger comfort.
“Made in Ukraine” Initiative by the Ministry of Development
The Ministry of Development is actively implementing the “Made in Ukraine” strategy to support local production. This initiative focuses on reducing import dependency and promoting Ukrainian manufacturers globally.
Kuleba expressed his gratitude to the plant’s workers for their dedication and professionalism. He also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting enterprises that significantly contribute to Ukraine’s economic recovery.
