The structured programme consists of four intensive modules, covering freight and passenger operations. Each module provides hands-on experience, helping participants understand North America’s dynamic railway industry.

In 2024, the programme successfully graduated its largest class, with 30 railway professionals. Director Valerii Kucherenko expects a strong turnout for the 20th edition in 2025.
Participants attend sessions across multiple locations, gaining practical knowledge in key railway sectors. The curriculum includes essential training in business strategy, safety regulations, and operational efficiency.
The first module, covering administration and leadership, takes place at MSU’s East Lansing campus. The second focuses on safety, regulations, and industry policies in Washington, DC, and Newark, New Jersey.
Pueblo, Colorado, home to the Transportation Technology Center, hosts the third module on railway technology. Finally, Chicago serves as the venue for an in-depth study of railway operations.
Programme Fees and Registration Details
The total cost per participant is $18,500, with a $500 discount for early registration before February 28, 2025. Companies enrolling multiple employees may qualify for additional group discounts.
