According to Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL), the problem started shortly after 1 PM when the last train from Uttara Centre to Motijheel encountered a technical glitch.

Passengers reported that the train halted mid-track just before reaching Uttara South station, remaining stationary for 15 minutes before being brought back to Uttara Centre station.

Metro officials immediately responded to the situation, asking passengers to disembark and running the train without passengers to identify the issue.

Efforts to Resolve Metro Rail Services Issue

Partial services resumed within an hour between Pallabi and Motijheel. However, trains traveling from Uttara to Motijheel did not return to their normal schedule right away.

Authorities worked to ensure minimal disruption to other routes and promised swift action to prevent future incidents.

Metro authorities emphasized the importance of regular maintenance and real-time monitoring to improve service reliability. Officials assured passengers that measures would be implemented to avoid similar delays.
