Although the product lineup is not disclosed, discussions revolve around localizing components for salon interiors and toilets.
It is envisaged that the joint venture will supply components both to the domestic and Italian markets, leveraging the Titagarh Firema facility in Italy.
Investing in the establishment of a joint venture indicates a commitment to diversifying production and expanding supply geography.
According to Amber Group representative Jasbir Singh, the prospective plan includes ramping up production to cover 20-25% of the components needed for passenger coaches.
This will bolster market positions and foster competitiveness in the rolling stock sector.
