At the International Transport Forum, Deputy Prime Minister Oleksii Kuleba emphasized that the transport industry faces daily challenges yet continues to advance.

He stated that despite the losses, Ukraine’s transport sector remains resilient and is transforming to align with the European logistics framework.
Ukraine’s Transport Sector Retains Strategic Importance
The government is prioritizing the development of the Ukrainian Sea Corridor, which plays a vital role in global food security.
In addition, the “transport visa-free regime” with the EU has boosted international trade and simplified road freight movement.
Rail infrastructure is also undergoing modernization, as Ukraine adapts its network to European standards—opening up new logistics opportunities.
International Support Accelerates Recovery of the Transport Sector
Kuleba also highlighted investments in the Danube region, the rehabilitation of key roads and bridges, and the construction of modern border checkpoints.
With support from international financial institutions, Ukraine is implementing projects worth over $1 billion to build a foundation for long-term development.
Despite the ongoing war, Ukraine is not just repairing what’s damaged—it is building a modern infrastructure system that meets European market demands.
