Kryukovsky Railcar Building Plant received UAH 72 million in quarterly losses
Kryukovsky Railcar Building Plant (KVSZ) in January-March 2021 received a net loss of UAH 72,12 million, while for the same period in 2020 the net profit amounted to UAH 75,17 million, informs Interfax-Ukraine.
According to the interim reporting of the enterprise, published in the information disclosure system of the National Commission for Securities and Stock Market, the company’s net income for the first quarter decreased 2.7 times – to UAH 414,150 million, reports Railway Supply magazine referring to Railinsider.
KVSZ received UAH 15 690 000 gross loss against UAH 100 million profit in January-March 2020, and UAH 80 860 000 loss from operating activities – against UAH 77 870 000 operating profit.
It is reported that in the first quarter of this year, the plant sold 140 cement trucks and 20 tank cars, while in the same period of 2020 – 72 cement trucks, 313 modular wagons, 240 mineral carriers and 8 passenger railcars. Thus, the sales of freight cars of KVSZ in the first quarter decreased by almost four times.
Not long ago, Ukrzaliznytsia was unable to hold a tender for the purchase of 100 passenger railcars the first time. Three companies submitted bids for the auction. KVSZ was one of them.
