Knorr-Bremse, in partnership with VTG, developed the iWagon platform based on FreightControl Sentinel, with testing in the UK beginning back in 2023.

Trials have confirmed the platform’s efficiency under real operating conditions.

Knorr-Bremse expands presence in the rail sector

Heidelberg Materials became the first operator to deploy iWagon across its 32 JPA tank wagons.

The company also plans to equip 35 new wagons currently in procurement with the same system.

Additionally, key industry players such as Breedon Group, Tarmac, and Alvance British Aluminium have ordered the installation of the system on 104 wagons of various configurations.

This reflects growing trust in the technology and its strong potential in the UK rail market.

Knorr-Bremse is promoting digital solutions that set new standards in rail transport management.
