The customer’s representatives also participated in the shipment of rails directly to the destination in the Republic of Moldova.

The agreement on supplying R-65 grade rails from Kazakhstan for the major overhaul of railway lines in Moldova was reached within the framework of the implemented project by LLP “Temirzhol Zhendeu” for the design and reconstruction of the railway section Bender-Basarabeasca-Etulia-Jur of the railway infrastructure of Romania’s engineering service Carmen-Florentina Matiescu. — The line is crucial for Moldova, facilitating transit of goods from Romania and Ukraine.

The project is financed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the European Investment Bank.

The Aktobe Rail Plant is the third in the world to produce rails of the new generation with increased strength and a length of up to 120 meters.

As reported earlier, the EIB will allocate over 40 million euros for the reconstruction of railway infrastructure in Moldova.
