“Kazakhstan Railways” intends to acquire more than 700 new passenger carriages by 2030, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

Kazakhstan plans to purchase over 700 passenger carriages

Of these, 537 carriages are expected to be supplied by TOO “Stadler Kazakhstan” (a subsidiary of Swiss company Stadler Rail AG).

Currently, the national railway carrier of Kazakhstan has 2,157 passenger carriages.

Over the past 10 years, approximately 1,500 modern carriages have been acquired, including over 150 carriages in 2023 and the first quarter of 2024.
