Karnataka Expands Vande Bharat Express Network with New Route

Karnataka will soon launch a new Vande Bharat Express train between Belgaum and Bengaluru, improving high-speed connectivity and fulfilling a long-pending demand from northern regions of the state. This is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

The new service will depart Belgaum in the morning, arrive in Bengaluru during the day, and return the same evening. This setup allows passengers to complete round trips in just one day.

MP Jagadish Shettar confirmed the train’s approval, thanking Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for swiftly addressing regional transportation needs. He also acknowledged support from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other Union ministers.
This move reflects the government’s commitment to modernizing Karnataka’s rail system and improving access between economic and administrative centers across the state.
New Vande Bharat Express Schedule Strengthens Regional Links
The new route brings Karnataka’s total to 12 Vande Bharat Express trains. These semi-high-speed services have transformed regional travel with faster journeys and modern amenities.

- Bengaluru – Chennai: 00:15 – ~04:39 (4h 24m)
