K-RIDE has requested price proposals for the production of 264 passenger coaches

The Karnataka Rail Infrastructure Development Company (K-RIDE) is seeking quotations from suppliers for manufacturing 264 passenger coaches intended for suburban routes, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.
Participants in the tender include Indian companies BEML and BHEL, as well as the Spanish company CAF.
The winning bidder is required to manufacture and deliver 80 three-coach and 4 six-coach sets, ensuring their operational deployment and providing technical maintenance at depots.
