Passengers can log in using existing IRCTC credentials or sign up for a new account. Inside the app, they’ll find options to book reserved, unreserved, or platform tickets using the Journey Planner feature.

How to Book Train Tickets Through SwaRail?

To start, users input their departure and destination stations, travel date, class, and quota. After selecting a preferred train and coach, they enter traveler and contact details to proceed.

The ticket gets sent via email and SMS. Users can pay using UPI, credit or debit cards, net banking, or IRCTC’s R-Wallet. A convenience fee applies—$0.28 for UPI or $0.42 for other payment methods.

All booked and canceled tickets are saved under “My Bookings.” Travelers can view, email, or share these tickets and even download them as PDFs.

Top Features of the SwaRail App

SwaRail provides real-time train tracking, coach position info, and in-app food ordering. Travelers can raise complaints using the Rail Madad tool and request refunds directly in the app.

Profile settings allow users to manage personal info, change passwords, and top up the R-Wallet. The app also supports multiple Indian languages, improving accessibility for diverse users.

With SwaRail, IRCTC brings a user-centric and all-in-one travel platform that replaces fragmented services, streamlining the train travel experience across India.
