Indian Railways is expanding the Delhi-Ambala corridor, transforming it into a four-line system. Officials met with local authorities in Panipat and Sonepat to finalize project plans and accelerate implementation.

The massive ₹70.74 billion investment will modernize 32 railway stations, enhancing infrastructure and improving travel conditions. The four-year project will boost operational efficiency, ensuring a smoother and more reliable journey.
Modernization Efforts by Indian Railways to Enhance Connectivity
Engineers will replace outdated, waterlogged Railway Under Bridges with newly constructed Railway Over Bridges. This upgrade will improve safety, prevent delays, and ensure seamless rail operations along the busy route.
Additionally, the government will acquire 11 hectares of land from 15 villages, compensating landowners fairly. Transparent policies and structured negotiations will address local concerns, facilitating efficient land acquisition.
