In South Korea, Hyundai Rotem’s A000 electric trains have been put into operation

A fleet of 20 eight-car trains has started running on a 35-kilometer section of Seoul’s high-speed suburban system GTX-A, serving 4 stations, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.
The trains are claimed to reach speeds of up to 180 km/h, with a peak-hour frequency of 15 minutes.

The rolling stock, costing $276.2 million, was ordered in 2020 and manufactured in 14 months, with operational trials conducted last year.
The A000 trains can accommodate over 1,000 passengers.

The manufacturer asserts that the rolling stock features automatic doors with dual obstruction sensors and employs noise reduction technology for high-speed operation.
Additionally, onboard screens display speed and occupancy percentage.
