In Slovenia, a certified open container for transporting cars by rail is available

In Slovenia, a certified open container for transporting cars by rail has been developed and certified by local company Container d.o.o. in collaboration with German company SSC Railtec, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.
The new design of the 20-foot container can transport passenger cars weighing a total of 4.2 tons in two tiers. It is reported that the prototype has undergone testing according to ISO 1496 standards on the company’s own testing platform.

Container d.o.o. was founded in 1998 and is a subsidiary of the MAKSIM group.
Until 2007, it specialized in manufacturing containers and steel structures.
Since then, the range of products produced has significantly expanded.
Currently, the company manufactures various specialized containers for transporting bulk cargo, radioactive waste, Open Top containers, and other products.
